About the Role.

S4 is seeking an experienced Project Manager or site manager to carry out their duties in a satellite office of S4 in Durban.

This position is open to both Internal & external candidates, however given the element of remote working, internal candidates will be preferred as they will be more familiar with S4’s system’s and capabilities.


The position will involve the following:

  1. Attending site meetings for RFQ’s at clients premises.
  2. Engaging with customers on technical & commercial topics. This will include conceptualizing solutions.
  3. Managing all aspects of the project when installations take place. Including, liaising with subcontractors, managing the installation team and working with the design team.
  4. Provide ongoing support for installed equipment as and when required.

Job Duties:

Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:.

    Marketing / Sales:
  • Identify potential customers
  • Present S4 to potential customers
  • Increase sales for the region
  • Represent S4 at site meetings

    • Project Management / Site Management:
  • Act as customer liaison
  • Assist with costing estimations
  • Manage installations
  • Arrange local resources for projects
  • Offer after sales support

Experience & Qualification:

  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or similar qualification would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in an industrial automation environment
  • Willing and able to travel from time to time (Local & international)

Remuneration:

Cost to company package on offer which includes retirement annuity benefit and 13th cheque dependent on company and individual performance (To be discussed after interview phase) .
