The Part Picking philosophy is based on the six sigma poke yoke concept. The system is used to eliminate fitment error due to incorrect part selection by the operator. Most complex build processes require an operator to read the build sheet and then make part(s) selection.
The part picking system takes the build sheet as an input and then automatically illuminates the correct part to be fitted on the rack by way of a "pick me light". The operator is requested to confirm the part choice by depressing the reset button on the light. Not only can the correct part be selected, the system also counts the number of parts selected and can alarm an incomplete build by counting the number of resets expected.
The Andon system is based on the Japanese real time, line side, material and assitance production call system.
The Andon system consists of a centrally-located, colour-coded, production status display board. The board enables any viewer to get a snapshot of the complete production line status. Each station has an input selection networked to the board. The advantages being that an operator does not need to leave his/her station to initiate requests, e.g. material, supervisor, quality, maintenance etc.
Line management can react immediately and appropriately. Line-statistics are thus generated and can be used to improve the process. Our solution uses multi-coloured LED illumination for low power consumption,a bus structure to minimize field wiring and a PC-based control system to provide an open systems platform. Additional audio indication can be implemented.
The S4 Beacon light is a new innovation when it comes to reliable, 360° horizontal and 180° vertical visual signalling. This customizable high bright LED industrial lamp is capable of displaying a large number of different colours that can be solid, flashing or fading. The lamps can be controlled through 24V or voltage free input: CAN or Devicenet*.
The S4 Beacon light v2 provides 2 transistor driven outputs that can be use to combine audio and visual signalling.
